About Me:
I do not believe that there is only one place on this earth for me. I feel like the best thing to do now is wonder until I find that one spiritual location, that home, where I feel the fullest!
I am celebrating my year in Arizona, where the sun is hot, but the air is beautiful.
I am young, just now experiencing the start and best time of my life.
But the constant questions I have had is where I fit in.
I am not sure I have found that balance yet. I am analytical, thoughtful and progressive. I guess I see myself as one of those cowgirl types that loves yoga and reading about Budda. Catagories and labels do not fit me well.
I enjoy learning new things.
I am a conscience consumer, paying attention (as much as I can) to where my money goes and who is benefiting from my dollar. I crave knowledge on food and food related products. Not many people I deal with on a regular basis feel the understanding that most of our food travels up to 1500 miles to get to us. I pay close attention to the air I breathe and the chemicals that surround and change us. I sometimes wonder whether I feel that in my bones.
I am a supporter of local food and conscience living. BUY GRASS FED BEEF. And if you dont know about the benefts, feel free to ask. :-)
A dear friend of mine, many years ago, belly danced. I would go and watch her, seeing the calm and exhileration in her eyes. Ever since then I have moved in many different places, and no matter where I am, I continue practicing belly dancing. Now I may not be good at it, but I love the way it makes me feel. It is yoga and mediation though music and dance. It is a wonderful way for women to express themselves and become a community. I especially love tribal dance and veil dancing. I am looking forward to learn some cane and sword dancing as well.
Sometimes I walk around feeling like I am in a dream, and I need to wake up. When the environment and world affect my daily life, I start to feel a cloud come over me. Often I see the signs and take the position to heal myself and give my body the time and attention it requires.
I love nature and all it holds. It is my solice and my release! I spend so much time in nature that it makes me realize how fragile we are, and at the same time, how powerful we have become. I am a conservationist at heart, I woud rather see many of our human wants become useless, where we begin to focus on the more important things in life (friends family nature, etc).
I went to school in conventional rangeland management, but realized that my heart was drawn to the spiritial side that encompasses nature. Life starts in the carbon atoms that surround us, which is entails everything in nature and in the air. That makes us connected to each other and the environment around us. I live around many Indian tribes (especially Apache) and many of them take nature as something worth taking care of. There is a balance, a fine line, we have to draw and I want to help make that connection.
I am interested in finding that “other story” in which to enact!
